Fall Semester
The fall semester at UNLV begins on Monday, August 28, 2023, and ends on Friday, December 15, 2023. There are two breaks during the fall semester: a week-long break for Labor Day and a one-week break for Thanksgiving.
Spring Semester
The spring semester at UNLV begins on Monday, January 15, 2024, and ends on Friday, May 11, 2024. There is one break during the spring semester: a week-long break for spring break.
Summer Sessions
UNLV offers three summer sessions: Session I, Session II, and Session III. Session I begins on Monday, May 22, 2024, and ends on Friday, July 7, 2024. Session II begins on Monday, July 10, 2024, and ends on Friday, August 3, 2024. Session III begins on Monday, August 6, 2024, and ends on Friday, September 1, 2024.
Important Holidays
There are several important holidays during the 2023/24 academic year. These holidays are observed by UNLV and classes are not held.
